Subscribe to the Chronique d’Égypte

The journal Chronique d'Égypte was first published in December 1925. In the preface to this first issue, Jean Capart, who had founded the Fondation Égyptologique Reine Élisabeth two years earlier, warned his fellow Egyptologists that the journal was not intended to become just another scientific journal; its objectives were much more modest. The Chronique d'Égypte aims to be a link between the foundation and its members.
The discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb sparked public interest in Egyptian culture, but this fire had to be kept alive. Capart therefore offered to inform members of new discoveries and recent publications, both for the scientific community and the general public. However, the Chronique d'Égypte quickly acquired a great scientific reputation and became one of the most important Egyptology journals... Read more

The Association Égyptologique Reine Élisabeth publishes the Chronique d'Égypte annually. As a member of the association, you are entitled to a discount on the subscription.

The AERE-EGKE also publishes monographs in its three sections: Pharaonic Egypt, Greco-Roman Egypt and Coptic and Arabic Egypt. The publications are edited by Brépols. Members receive a 30% discount.
