June 6, 2025 – June 7, 2025
MRAH Brussels / KMKG Brussels
The mission of the Queen Elisabeth Egyptian Association (AERE), as intended by its founder Jean Capart, is to address both the scientific community and the general public. The AERE aims to be a forum for Belgian Egyptology, a center of contact between Egyptologists, a meeting place for different universities, museums, and research centers, and a tool for disseminating knowledge to the public in order to keep alive enthusiasm for ancient Egyptian civilization.
The symposium organized by the AERE allows various players in Belgian Egyptology to present their research to a wide audience. The topics cover fieldwork in Egypt, museum projects, and research projects at various universities, thus providing a diverse overview of the research carried out by Belgian Egyptologists.
Please find attached the program for the Belgian Egyptology Symposium, which will take place on June 6-7, 2025, at the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels (Parc du Cinquantenaire). Everyone is welcome. Please feel free to share this program.
